Car history:
YOU ARE VIEWING AN ACTUAL 1969 SALES BROCHURE CORVETTE, Full Numbers Matching. 1968 VIN: 194378S416224. This 1969 Monza Red, Automatic, 427/390 L36 Big Block Corvette Stingray Coupe is fully documented as one of the five vehicles GM used from the end of the 1968 production run, to produce the 1969 Corvette Sales Brochure. GM produced this one of a kind Corvette by pulling a late year production coupe (April, 1968) from the St. Louis assembly plant line, and modified it at the GM Technical Center in Detroit to the 1969 production specifications in order to provide one of the five Corvettes used to create the 1969 Corvette Dealer Sales Brochure. (Brochures included with sale).
After the vehicle was sent from St. Louis to GM's Tech Center, in Warren Michigan, the Tech Center proceeded to retrofit the car with:
Monza Red Paint offered in 1969 (originally painted Rally Red for '68 model year)
'69 Doors
'69 Grilles
'69 Side Louvers (with painted trim as shown in '69 Brochure)
Name Plates
'69 Door Handles (custom made by GM for this car)
'69 Back Up Lamps
'69 ignition column
After GM completed photography of this car, it was purchased by GM employee, Jerry Whitaker.
